If you've ever wondered what life is like onboard a Celebrity Cruises ship, especially one like the Celebrity Infinity, here's a glimpse into what made our time onboard just as memorable as the time we spent exploring ashore. What I loved about this Celebrity cruise was how it struck the perfect balance. Our days in port were packed with adventure and exploration, but once we were back on the ship, everything shifted to a more laid-back, relaxing pace. I've come to truly appreciate the value of a well-placed sea day. These days, give your body a break from long walks and early wake-ups, and your mind space to simply breathe.

Whether you're new to cruising or a seasoned traveler, sea days offer their own rhythm: peaceful, unhurried, and full of quiet joys. My favorite place to be on a sea day? Right on my stateroom balcony. It's a peaceful escape from the busier areas of the ship, just me, the sea breeze, and the open water. There's something restorative about watching the waves roll by while sipping coffee or flipping through a book.

Celebrity Infinity Review: Onboard Activities

Each evening, a printed schedule arrived in our stateroom, outlining the next day's lineup: trivia, dance classes, wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, enrichment lectures, art auctions, and more. While Celebrity doesn't overwhelm with nonstop programming, it offers enough variety to keep you engaged if that's your style.

We also noticed that many guests brought their own entertainment, card games, puzzles, and books, and there were plenty of relaxed corners around the ship for quiet play or good conversation. I loved seeing people gathered around tables, simply talking and connecting with one another. As someone who enjoys a meaningful conversation, it was refreshing. While I adore my travel companions, deep conversation wasn't always their thing, so seeing that social energy elsewhere was nice.

In this Celebrity Infinity review, I must note that Celebrity takes a more relaxed approach to onboard programming, rather than filling every hour with back-to-back activities. Personally, I would have enjoyed a few more high-energy options here and there. Still, there’s definitely something to be said for this style, especially on a port-intensive itinerary like ours. After full days exploring ancient ruins and vibrant Greek islands, the quieter evenings turned out to be just right for recharging. That said, if you’re someone who thrives on lively nightlife or a constant buzz of activity, you may find the evening options a bit more low-key than you’re used to.

Celebrity Infinity Cruise Entertainment

One of the highlights of the cruise for me was the production performances in the main theater. My favorite was a lively show celebrating Broadway and musical show tunes it was energetic, nostalgic, and filled with incredible talent. Celebrity really shines with these full-scale productions.

Beyond the stage shows, we experienced a wide range of entertainment throughout the ship:

• Piano player covering Elton John and Billy Joel

• Contemporary violinist performing modern hits

• Powerful vocalist celebrating legendary women in music

• Karaoke backed by a live band

• DJs spinning nightly

• Themed parties like White Night and 80s Night

Each evening brought something new, and overall, the entertainment added fun and dynamic energy to the cruise.

Dining Experience: What I Loved, and What I Missed

Dining was a bit different for me this cruise. Typically, I prefer the main dining room each evening—not just for the food but for the connection it creates. There's something special about seeing the same server each night, learning about them, and being remembered for your preferences. That familiarity was something I really missed on this trip.

Because of our later port return times and varying schedules, we missed our assigned dining time several evenings and opted for the buffet instead. While the buffet offered convenience and variety (and worked well for our group), I found myself longing for those more meaningful connections that happen in the dining room.

Main Dining Room Experience: On our final evening, I returned for dinner and decided to be adventurous. I ordered the leg of lamb, something I don't usually eat. I'm so glad I did it, it was absolutely delicious!

Specialty Dining Celebrity Cruises: We also had one dinner at Sushi on Five, a specialty restaurant onboard. If you love sushi, I highly recommend it. The presentation, quality, and service were all top-notch.

Celebrity Infinity Ship Amenities

Some of the most memorable moments on a cruise aren't planned; they unfold naturally in the quiet in-between, for me, that happened often in simple places: walking past the ship's library, where guests were deeply engrossed in books, adding pieces to a communal jigsaw puzzle; or seeing people gathered for games and conversation around the ship.

Celebrity Infinity's Rooftop Terrace: My Favorite Retreat

Tucked away at the back of the ship, it featured shaded cabanas, comfortable seating, and movie screenings. It felt worlds away from the livelier pool deck and became our group's favorite hangout for a peaceful escape.

Other Notable Spaces:

• Casino (open during sea time)

• Duty-free shops for perfume, jewelry, and souvenirs

• Well-equipped gym (which one of my friends used daily!)

• Spa for massages and pampering

• Multiple lounges and public spaces for music, games, and mingling

Final Thoughts: What Makes Onboard Life on the Celebrity Infinity Special

While this cruise was filled with incredible ports and rich history, I found just as much joy in the quiet moments onboard. Whether it was relaxing on my balcony, enjoying a Broadway-style production, or watching new friendships form around puzzles and card games, the ship itself offered so many ways to slow down and connect.

Although the Celebrity Infinity is one of Celebrity's older ships, it delivers premium service, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to tailor the experience to one's own style of travel.
